This undated shot of the east end of Dunfermline shed shows ex-WD 2-8-0 no. 90386. An unidentified J37
impersonates a small volcano, ruining any washing hanging out on Leys Park Road in the process.
A diesel-powered shunting locomotive also makes an appearance.

A pair of ex-WD 2-8-0's no's. 90071 and 90036 stand adjacent to the coaling stage at Dunfermline shed on July 10, 1966.
The signals seen in the background are on the line from Dunfermline Upper station. Access to the shed was by means
of an east facing junction on this line.

A view looking across the east end of Dunfermline shed sometime in the mid-1960's. Pictured is BR Standard 4MT
2-6-0 no. 76110. In the background is the Northern Hospital which still stands, operating today as a nursing home. The
dormers on the room are gone but the boiler house chimney and the strange looking device on the roof above the
main entrance remain to this day. Note also the three snow-ploughs in the foreground.
