Oops! ex-LMS Class 5MT 4-6-0 no. 44794 has come off the rails in this 1958 scene taken close to Perth loco shed.
A steam-powered crane is being used to restore order and it would appear that this event is providing
entertainment for some of the city's population.

ex-LMS Class 5MT 4-6-0 no. 45157 "The Glasgow Highlander" empties her drain cocks at Perth shed in 1962. Not sure
where she's heading next but with the coal piled high in the tender it's unlikely that she'll run out of coal anytime soon!

Pictured at Perth shed in May 1959 is BR Class 6P5F 4-6-2 no. 72006 "Clan Mackenzie". Introduced in 1952 only ten
of this class of locomotive were produced. The locomotives were considered unsuccessful and an order for another
15 was cancelled as a result. The locomotives were built with a boiler of a BR standard Class 7 (Britannia class)
but with smaller cylinders and other modifications to save weight in an attempt to increase route availability.
