In this undated scene ex-LNER J38 0-6-0 no. 65921 shunts a train of coal wagons at Kincardine Power Station.
Designed by Sir Nigel Gresley, the J38's were introduced in 1926. A more powerful class of locomotive than
classes J36, J37 and J39 these locomotives were classified as 6F.

Kincardine Power Station. The line from Alloa can be seen to the left of this undated view. Kincardine Power Station
opened in 1960 and was demolished in 2001.

Shunting at Burntisland docks on August 11, 1966 is ex-WD class 8F 2-8-0 no. 90628. The small plate reading 62A
on the smokebox door indicates that this locomotive was a Thornton Junction machine.
